About and how we choose

space1001 is a curated guide site for desk setups and everyday gear. It starts from the criteria that actually separate one product from another, then shows candidates that fit them. It does not sell anything; purchases happen on the retailer's site.

How we choose

We decide the conditions first, not the product. Only products that fit the conditions are listed.

• Conditions are the specs that change how a product is used, such as height range, load rating or connection type.
• Each product comes with the reason it was picked and what to check before buying.
• No rankings, star ratings or “best” claims.

How the guides are written

• The site operator researches and writes the guides.
• Each guide says whether it is based on first-hand use or on published specifications and public information.
• Prices are never shown. Check the retailer for the current price.
• Diagrams are simple illustrations, not to scale. Product photos are loaded from the retailer's own listing.

How the site earns

When you buy through a link, the site may earn a commission from the retailer's affiliate program. The commission does not change the price you pay. The details are in the affiliate disclosure.
